Specialist Logistics Governance, Standards and Controlling

Nazarii joined LEONI in 2018, moving into the automotive industry from the field of finance. Now he successfully works in logistics.

My story at LEONI

My name is Nazarii. I have been working at LEONI since 2018. I obtained a higher education in finance from the Chernivtsi Trade and Economics Institute of the State Trade and Economics University. Prior to joining LEONI, I worked in a bank. Seeking a change in my career path, I transitioned to the role of Specialist in Logistics Governance, Standards, and Controlling.

My journey at LEONI has been filled with excitement and growth opportunities. Initially, I worked as a specialist in the Procurement Department, where I monitored the timely provision of raw materials for production and submitted daily reports on critical components. I was later promoted to Lead Specialist, where my responsibilities expanded to include implementing technical changes, introducing new suppliers for projects, and collaborating with other plants. Now, as a Specialist in Logistics Governance, Standards, and Controlling, I continue to face challenges and opportunities, engaging with new people and processes. Despite the challenges, I have succeeded and developed my career in a direction that is both interesting and motivating, thanks to the support of my colleagues.

This is my job

My daily work at LEONI is quite diverse and dynamic. Typically, my day begins with reviewing and analyzing daily reports, as well as addressing open issues related to project implementation and orders. I then collaborate with engineering, quality, and other departments to resolve any issues or devise plans to ensure smooth production operations.

The main tasks I undertake include:

  • Implementing new projects for the Procurement department: negotiating terms and delivery methods with new suppliers, organizing the signing of internal contracts, ordering samples, setting up serial orders, and ensuring timely delivery of raw materials required for production.
  • Implementing technical changes: analyzing and planning changes, coordinating implementation with other departments, and ensuring adherence to client deadlines and supplier agreements.
  • Resolving critical material support situations: identifying alternative delivery options, suppliers, and methods to expedite the delivery of necessary raw materials to prevent production or customer disruptions.
  • Communicating with customers and suppliers: maintaining close communication to anticipate and mitigate potential product threats and swiftly resolve technical or organizational issues.
  • Generating daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports: providing plant reports on logistics indicators to gauge departmental efficiency.

These tasks make my work both interesting and demanding, requiring continual improvement and development of professional skills.

Within LEONI, intercultural and international experiences are integral to our work processes. An illustrative example of this was a project involving partial relocation from another LEONI plant. Collaborating on such projects not only allows for communication and idea-sharing with colleagues from diverse cultural backgrounds but also facilitates collective problem-solving and strategy development, leveraging the rich diversity of perspectives and approaches.

My highlight

I particularly enjoy communication in my work. This involves engaging with a wide range of individuals from various countries, each with their own mentality and approaches to problem-solving. Communication constantly unveils new, interesting, and valuable insights for all of us, fostering personal and professional development opportunities.

My view of LEONI as an employer

What I value most about my work at LEONI is the supportive and cooperative atmosphere. The company fosters an environment where every employee feels valued and integral to the team. Moreover, LEONI offers ample opportunities for professional development and growth through education, training, and other initiatives that enhance our knowledge and skills. I also appreciate LEONI's commitment to diversity and openness, which creates an inclusive environment where everyone can freely express their ideas and opinions, ultimately leading to positive work outcomes.

The work culture at LEONI is characterized by key aspects such as cooperation, teamwork, professional development, trust, openness, and responsibility.

LEONI in three words? Professionalism, quality, cooperation.
