Plant Manager

Andrii, joined LEONI in 2005, rising to Plant Manager by 2022, driven by his passion for motor vehicle equipment.

My story at LEONI

My name is Andrii. I joined LEONI in 2005 as a Cutting Operator. Within six months, I passed an interview for an engineering role, and by 2011, I was promoted to lead the Production Engineering Department. Together with the team, we executed the production concept for the KSK product, serving as a foundation for similar projects at LEONI plants globally. In 2016, I took on the role of Head of the Product Section, and by 2022, I assumed the position of Plant Manager at the LEONI plant in Stryi. Since childhood, like most boys, cars and all things related to them captivated me. It was my dream to be part of their development and creation process. I recall the sheer joy a car brought me in childhood. What started as a passion evolved into a hobby, where I began sketching 3D models of cars. Now, I take immense pride in directly contributing to the field of motor vehicle equipment, an integral aspect of modern life.

This is my job

My responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring production efficiency, managing resources, and coordinating with various departments. I focus on optimizing processes, maintaining quality standards, and addressing any issues that arise. Additionally, I am involved in strategic planning, budgeting, and fostering a positive work environment to enhance productivity and employee satisfaction.

My highlight

Throughout my time at LEONI, I can recall many significant moments that served as serious tests of the professionalism of the teams I worked with on my way at LEONI from a Cutting Machine Operator to the Plant Manager in Stryi. Also, in recent years, we have faced formidable challenges, including semiconductor supply interruptions and COVID-19. But the most severe, clearly, was the onset of war in February 2022. None of the instructions and past experiences gave an understanding of how to act in these conditions. However, thanks to the dedication and motivation of the team, we were able to restore half of the production capacity and organize safe working conditions for our employees within just two weeks.

At that time, I was a Team Leader of the Production Engineering Department. One notable accomplishment of my team, which fills me with pride, is the transfer and launch of a very complex project, in terms of production process, from another country to Ukraine. This stage was a serious test of the maturity and professionalism of the team that was involved. The result exceeded expectations. The adapted production concept from this project became the foundation for similar products, not only at the Stryi plant but also across other production sites within the company. The success of this launch paved the way for ongoing development and the introduction of new products at our plant, underscoring the team effort of the dedicated professionals at LEONI.

My view of LEONI as an employer

I appreciate LEONI for providing the platform to create and apply innovative solutions in our industry, fostering a team spirit and a sense of unity. The thrill and drive that come with implementing new projects and solutions are truly remarkable. Working alongside motivated colleagues who tackle challenges head-on serves as constant inspiration and motivates me to continue moving forward and striving for improvement.

We promote an environment where employees are encouraged to think creatively, embrace challenges, and contribute to continuous improvement. We also place a big emphasis on a customer-oriented approach.

LEONI in 3 words? Innovative, team-driven, industry-leading.

My tips

If you want something you've never had, be willing to do something you've never done, and LEONI offers that chance. Be open to new experiences, step out of your comfort zone, and keep learning; success will follow.
